Fund Watch

Fund Watch (the "App") respects your privacy and handles information about you as described below.

1. Information the App Handles

Information you register or enter

The App stores the following on your device: the funds in your watchlist and their order, your groups (tabs), your portfolios (funds and weights), simulation settings and saved results, display settings, and your language setting. This information is never sent to the developer's servers (except for the information involved in showing ads, described under "Ads"). The App does not ask for your holdings, accounts or brokerage.

Fetching prices and other fund data

To show the price (NAV), distributions, net assets and other data of the funds you add, the App downloads the data published by each fund manager from their websites (Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management, Rakuten Investment Management, Daiwa Asset Management, Amova Asset Management and SBI Asset Management, including the websites of their data providers). The App connects when you search for a fund and when it updates data. Only the information needed to get the data, such as the fund code, is sent; the developer never receives information that identifies you or the list of funds you added. IP addresses and other information involved in the connection are handled under each website's policy. The downloaded data is stored on your device.

Inflation rates

Japan's past inflation rates used in simulations (Statistics Bureau of Japan, Consumer Price Index) are built into the App and are not downloaded.

Exporting images and CSV

When you use Premium's "Export", the App creates an image or CSV file of your portfolio or simulation results and passes it to the destination you choose.

Purchases

Premium (a one-time purchase) and "Support the Developer" (purchases to support the developer; they do not add features) are processed with Apple's StoreKit. Payment information is managed by Apple, and the developer never receives credit card numbers or other payment information. To provide purchased features, the App checks whether Premium has been purchased and whether the entitlement is valid. The App records no information about "Support the Developer" purchases.

Ads

If you have not purchased Premium, the App shows ads using Google AdMob, an ad service provided by Google LLC. Only ads that are not based on your interests (non-personalized ads) are shown. AdMob may collect device information (such as IP address, device type, OS version, and ad views and taps) to deliver ads, control frequency, prevent fraud and measure performance. This information is handled under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

In the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK and some other regions, the App asks for your consent for ads before showing them. You can change your choice from "Ad Settings" in Settings.

The App does not request tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. It does not include any analytics tools. With Premium, no ads are shown.

Widgets

The Home Screen widgets (Premium) show the price and daily change of the funds you added. To show them, the App stores the funds you added and their data, your groups, your Premium status and your language setting in a location on your device shared by the App and its widgets. The widgets do not connect to the internet; they only show data the App has saved. This information is never sent to the developer's servers.

Links to external websites

The fund manager's page on a fund's detail screen, and "More Apps by the Developer", "Write a Review", "Send Feedback" and "Privacy Policy" in Settings, open external pages in your browser or elsewhere. "Send Feedback" opens a Google Form, and the developer receives what you enter and submit. Information on the websites you open is handled under each website's policy.

2. Storing and Deleting Information

The information you register and your settings are stored on your device. Depending on your device's backup settings, they may be included in OS backups. When you delete the App, the information it stored on your device is also deleted, except for anything remaining in OS backups.

3. Sharing with Third Parties

Except as required by law, the developer does not sell or provide the information you register in the App to third parties. As described above, Apple's services are used for payments and Google AdMob is used for showing ads.

4. About Investing

The App is not intended to solicit investment. The accuracy of the information and simulation results it shows is not guaranteed. Please make investment decisions at your own responsibility.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Security

Depending on the nature of the information, the App protects it by storing it on your device and using the permission controls provided by the OS.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in features, services used, or laws. If there are important changes, we will announce them on this page or in the App.
