Stagebeat (the “App”, a metronome for iPhone with an Apple Watch app) respects your privacy and handles information as described below. The App has no developer servers, and the developer never receives your information.

1. Information the App Handles

Memories, folders, and settings

The App stores the Memories you save (song title, BPM, time signature, sound, volume, and so on), your folders, and your settings on your device. This information is never sent to the developer's servers or to third parties.

Reading song titles from a photo

When you choose a photo of a song list, the App reads only the photo you pick in the system photo picker, recognizes the text in it on your device using Apple's Vision, and uses it to fill in song titles. The photo is neither saved nor sent anywhere. The App never asks for access to your whole photo library.

iCloud backup

Only with Premium and only when you turn on iCloud backup, the App saves your Memories, folders, and settings to the App's own location in your own iCloud Drive. Saving is handled by Apple's iCloud, and the developer never receives the contents.

Exporting to a file

Only when you choose to export, the App creates a CSV or JSON file of your Memories and passes it to the destination you choose. Information there is handled under that service's policy.

Health (HealthKit)

To open the Apple Watch app automatically and keep the rhythm going with vibrations while the screen is off, the App uses a workout session on Apple Watch. For this, it asks only for permission to write workouts in Health. It never reads Health data and does not save workout records. Information obtained through HealthKit is never used for advertising or provided to third parties.

Apple Watch

The App exchanges play, stop, BPM, and similar controls directly between your iPhone and paired Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity. These exchanges stay between your devices and are never sent to the developer's servers.

Purchases

Premium (monthly, yearly, or one-time purchase) and restoring purchases are handled with Apple's StoreKit. Payments are managed by Apple, and the developer never receives credit card numbers or other payment information. To provide purchased features, the App checks whether your entitlement is valid.

Ads, analytics, and tracking

The App shows no ads and includes no analytics or tracking tools. It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

External pages

“More Apps by This Developer”, “Write a Review”, and “Send Feedback” in Settings, and the Terms of Use, open external pages in your browser or the App Store. “Send Feedback” opens a Google Form, and the developer receives what you enter and submit. Information on the pages you open is handled under each site's policy.

2. Storing and Deleting Information

Memories, folders, and settings are stored on your device. Depending on your device's backup settings, they may be included in OS backups. When you delete the App, the information on your device is also deleted. However, OS backups, backups saved to iCloud Drive, and files you exported are not deleted automatically. You can delete the iCloud Drive backup from iCloud Drive (for example, Manage Storage under iCloud in iOS Settings).

3. Sharing with Third Parties

Except as required by law, the developer does not sell or provide the information you save in the App to third parties. Apple's services are used for purchases and iCloud backup, and the services you choose are used for exports and contacting us.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Security

The App protects the information it handles by storing it on your device and using the OS's permission features. Information in iCloud is protected by Apple's systems.

6. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as features or the services used change. Important changes will be announced on this page or elsewhere.
