Face ID / Touch ID

Privacy Policy

Photo Widget

Effective: September 28, 2026 / Last updated: October 13, 2026

Photo Widget (the “App”) respects your privacy and handles information as described below.

1. Information handled by the App

Photos you choose

To show them in Home Screen widgets, the App resizes the photos you choose and stores them on your device (and, if you turn on the Premium automatic backup, in your own iCloud as described below), in an on-device storage area (App Group) that only the App and its widgets can read. Photos are never transmitted to the developer's servers or to any third party.

The App uses the iOS photo picker. It receives only the photos you select and does not ask for access to your whole photo library. The App never modifies or deletes photos in the Photos app.

Location and other metadata (Exif) are removed when a photo is saved. Only the date taken is kept on your device, for the “Show Date Taken” option.

Information you enter or configure

Photo set names, widget sizes, display order, switching intervals, position adjustments, and other settings are stored on your device. This information is not transmitted to the developer's servers.

Automatic iCloud backup

When the Premium “Back Up to iCloud Automatically” setting is on, your photo set settings and imported photos are saved automatically to a storage area reserved for the App in your own iCloud (Apple) account. This data is managed by Apple's iCloud, is not transmitted to the developer's servers, and cannot be accessed by the developer. You can turn this feature off at any time in the App's settings. Restoring from a backup is available on the free plan too.

Purchase information

Premium (a one-time purchase) and "Support the Developer" (tips that do not unlock any features) are processed through Apple's StoreKit. Apple manages payment information, and the developer does not receive payment card details. To provide purchased features, the App checks your purchase status and records the result (whether Premium has been purchased) in on-device storage that the widgets can read. The App records nothing about tips.

Face ID / Touch ID lock

If you turn on the App lock in Settings, the App asks you to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID when you open it. Your face or fingerprint data is managed by iOS; the App never receives this data or stores it anywhere, on or off the device. On a device without biometric authentication, your device passcode is used instead. You can turn this feature off at any time in the App's settings.

Network, analytics, and ads

The App does not communicate with the developer's servers. It does not use analytics, crash reporting, ads, or tracking. The App communicates with Apple's services only when you purchase or restore a purchase, and when it backs up to or restores from iCloud. However, if you open an external page from the Settings screen or elsewhere (the showcase site, the App Store review page, the feedback form (Google Forms), the privacy policy, or the terms of use), it is opened in Safari or another browser, which communicates with that site. Information handled on those pages is subject to each site's own policies.

2. Storage and deletion

Photos and settings are stored on your device. You can delete photos and photo sets in the App at any time; the original photos in the Photos app are not affected. Depending on your device settings, this data may be included in an operating-system backup. Deleting the App deletes the information it stored on the device, except for information that may remain in an OS backup.

Backups saved automatically to iCloud are not deleted when you delete the App. You can delete them from the iCloud storage management screen in the iOS Settings app.

3. Disclosure to third parties

Because the developer does not collect your information, there is nothing to sell or disclose to third parties. Apple's services are used for payment processing and iCloud backup as described above.

4. Children's privacy

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

5. Security

The App keeps photos and settings in its own on-device storage area and relies on operating-system permission controls to protect them.

6. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, or applicable laws. Material changes will be announced on this page or within the App.

7. Contact

For questions about this Policy or the App's handling of information, contact atsushi.ito6@gmail.com. You can also use the feedback form (open it from “Send Feedback” in the App’s settings). What you write in the form is delivered to the developer through Google’s services.
