CheckPad

Privacy Policy
CheckPad
Effective: September 29, 2026 / Last updated: October 13, 2026
CheckPad (the "App") respects your privacy and handles information as described below.
1. Information handled by the App
Information you enter
Checklist titles and items, check states, torn-off pages, sticky-note colors, positions, and labels, list order, and display preferences such as font, ink color, font size, paper color, rule lines, cover color, background, and language are stored on your device. This information is not transmitted to the developer's servers. The example lists used by "Add from Examples" are included in the App and are not downloaded from anywhere. If you use "Share", the generated text (which ends with the App's name and an App Store link) is sent only to the destination or recipient you select.
Manual backup and restore
If you use "Export Backup" in the settings screen, the App creates a backup file containing your checklists and torn-off pages and hands it to the destination you choose (such as the Files app, AirDrop, or email). "Restore from Backup" reads the file you select on your device. Neither is sent to the developer's servers.
Automatic iCloud backup
When the Premium "iCloud Auto Backup" setting is on, your checklists and torn-off pages (including titles, items, check states, and sticky-note colors, positions, and labels) are saved automatically to a storage area reserved for the App in your own iCloud (Apple) account. This data is managed by Apple's iCloud, is not transmitted to the developer's servers, and cannot be accessed by the developer. You can turn this feature off at any time in the App's settings. Restoring from an iCloud backup is available without Premium.
Purchase information
Premium (a one-time purchase) and "Support the Developer" (tips that do not unlock any features) are processed through Apple's StoreKit. Apple manages payment information, and the developer does not receive payment card details. The App checks purchase status and entitlements to provide purchased features. The App records nothing about tips.
Biometric authentication
If you enable the app lock, authentication is performed on your device using Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode through Apple's services. Neither the App nor the developer receives or stores biometric data.
Rating requests
The App may show Apple's standard rating prompt. To decide when to show it, the App stores, only on your device, the number of days you opened the App, the number of times you completed a checklist, and the date and version of the last request. This information is not transmitted to the developer's servers. Ratings and reviews are managed by Apple.
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
The App shows no ads and includes no usage-analytics tools. It does not collect information to track you and does not request tracking permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
Links to external sites
"More Apps by This Developer", "Write a Review", and "Send Feedback" in the settings screen, and the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy links on the Premium screen, open external pages in your browser or the App Store. "Send Feedback" opens a Google Form, and the developer receives what you enter and submit. Information handling on those sites is governed by their own policies.
2. Storage and deletion
Information you enter and App settings are generally stored on your device. Depending on your device settings, they may be included in an operating-system backup. Deleting the App deletes information stored by the App on the device, except for information that may remain in an OS backup. Backups saved automatically to iCloud are not deleted automatically when you delete the App. You can delete them from the iCloud storage management screen in the iOS Settings app.
3. Disclosure to third parties
Except as required by law, the developer does not sell or provide information you enter in the App to third parties. Apple's services are used for payments and iCloud backups as described above.
4. Children's privacy
The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Security
The App protects information by storing it on your device and using the permission and authentication features provided by the operating system, as appropriate to the nature of the information.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in features, services used, or applicable laws. Significant changes will be announced on this page or in the App.
7. Contact
For questions about this policy or how the App handles information, contact atsushi.ito6@gmail.com. You can also use the feedback form.
